This an image gallery for my 40D review. All the photos were shot in RAW and converted to jpeg with Canon Digital Photo Professional. The jpeg files were then resized and sharpened in Photoshop CS3.

What lens???
Hi Michael,
The exif datas are intact . You can check them out for details. Anyway, the first few outdoor night shots were shot with Sigma 30mm f1.4 DC. The next few indoor shots and food shots were shot with Canon EF 50mm f1.4. The first 2 portraits were also shot with canon 50mm f1.4 and the last portrait shot was shot with Canon EF 85mm f1.8
Hi.
I just bought my EOS 40D, but haven’t received my kit lens yet (the 18-55mm IS USM, I think), so I’m using my old EF 28-105mm USM lens (I bought it in 1996).
My photos are not exactly that sharp at full resolution, and I’m wondering if it’s the lens. Would you be able to link to a full size photo, shot in JPEG, with your good quality lens so that I can see if you’re getting the same “quality”? I see you mentioned that your images were sharpened in CS3, so I would just like to see a before image (and maybe a post-sharpening image as well)…
Thanks, and I LOVE the reviews…
I have to agree with James. I’d like to see some photos straight out from the camera. Thanks in advance!
