Légumes Restaurant Asperges

Légumes Restaurant Asperges is a restaurant in Biei. They are essentially a French restaurant specializing in using some of the freshest native Biei agricultural produce. The restaurant decor is simple, but comfortable and relaxing, fitting in perfectly with the laid back countryside environment of Biei. With large windows covering the whole wall on one side, it is airy and specious inside.

We had lunch there and the set menus are very reasonably priced. The dishes are all very well prepared and I am especially fond of the starter dish prepared with 20 different vegetables. One of the vegetables actually has Hokkaido scallop mousse wrapped inside. It was delicious and my favorite amongst the dishes.

All the food shots were taken with Olympus Pen EP-1 with Voigtländer Nokton 58mm F 1,4 SLII, the rest were taken with Canon EOS 5D Mark II with EF 16-35mm f/2.8L USM.

    • Thanks! I just used the available ambient lighting in the restaurants. As just a guest eating at the restaurants, it’s really not possible to use any dedicated lighting.
