I went to his concert in Hong Kong last December. It was part of his world tour. All shots were taken with Canon EOS 40D and EF 70-200mm f/2.8 IS USM. I have put some basic exif info at the bottom of each pic for those who are interested. all pics were captured in RAW. The RAW files were first processed by Adobe Lightroom, then further processed with Photoshop CS3. You can see the complete set of pics at my gallery here.

  1. Great work as usual. Expect nothing less than than sensational with your concert shots. There are just genres and venues you have access to that I don’t! 🙂

Also saw the photos you posted on DPREVIEW.com

  2. Mr. Lim,

Your concert series is the spark that ignited my involvement with photography.

This new gallery, yet, further established you as one of my favorite artist.

Although we don’t have much Hong Kong concerts in the US, your photos definitely puts us in the front row seats!!

When I’m in Hong Kong, you have to take me to one of these concerts!!

    Great job with the low-lighting.

  5. Hi Roland,

In Macau, they don’t allow photos to be taken at concerts. Is it allowed at all concerts in HK. Fabulous pictures by the way.

  6. Hi Julius,

In general, they allow for still photography at concerts in the Hong Kong Coliseum. However, video recording is straightly prohibited and is a criminal offense in Hong Kong. Only the very occasional singers forbid photography at their concerts. Only 2 come to mind recently, Jacky Chueng and Ayumi Hamasaki concerts.
